This conference aims to renew the methodologies used in the study of the architecture of traditional dwellings in the region of the Islamic West, from traditional descriptive approaches to the adoption of new interpretative and deductive methods, allowing a deeper understanding of the characteristics and symbolic meanings of this architecture. In order to re-read this rich architectural heritage from a contemporary civilizational point of view, we must draw on its values and take advantage of its symbols to develop future architecture.
This meeting represents an important opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions on the architecture of traditional housing in the Islamic West, the rediscovery of the values of this rich heritage, and the opportunities to build a better future.
